South actor Vishal is currently making headlines for his upcoming action drama, Rathnam. The movie is scheduled to release on April 26. The film’s team is busy with the promotions. Vishal recently attended a media conference and shared updates about Rathnam, which is currently garnering everyone’s attention. He said, “In my 19-year acting career, the media and my fans have supported me a lot. My upcoming movie Rathnam is going to be a family entertainer. Rathnam is going to release on April 26; promoting the movie is my responsibility. "
He further added, “The film has been in the spotlight because of the media. Devi Sri Prasad gave good music. I also want to thank the whole team and crew who worked on this project. Lead actress Priya Bhavani Shanka played an important role in the movie. Her character is the life of this film. The movie is full of entertainment and is a Paisa Vasool film."
Rathnam’s distributor Satish said he likes Vishal’s movies a lot. Vishal is the reason why he took the picture, Rathnam, he said at the event. He further added that the film is going to be released on a large scale in two Telugu states on April 26. Lastly, he thanked Vishal for giving him this opportunity.
Recently, the film’s makers surprised the viewers and unveiled its much-awaited trailer. The trailer features Vishal and actress Priya Bhavani Shankar and revolves around sickle fights, punchlines, angry villains, a convoy of SUVs, a political ploy, and whatnot.
Within six days, the trailer garnered 11 million views on YouTube.
Rathnam has been directed by filmmaker Hari. It is jointly produced by Kaarthekeyan Santhanam and Alankar Pandian under the banner of Stone Bench Films, Zee Studios, and Invenio Origin.
The film stars Vishal in the titular role, alongside Priya Bhavani Shankar. It also features Ramachandra Raju, Samuthirakani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Yogi Babu in the pivotal roles. The film marks the third collaboration between Vishal and Hari after Thaamirabharani and Poojai.
