Priyanka Chopra has been on a roll, ever since she came into Bollywood, and now she is one of the prominent Indian names, who has made a distinct global presence. In the last one year, Priyanka has been making waves in the west. She has emerged as the most well-known Indian faces recognised in Hollywood.
Starting out as a model, going on to win the Miss World title and after making a mark as one of the top actresses in Bollywood, Priyanka has taken Hollywood with a storm. She was the first Indian, who made a mark as the face of international brand Guess in the US. This was followed by her debut as a singer in the international music scene with her music single 'In My City', featuring American rapper will.i.am, which won three nominations at the World Music Awards. Priyanka made India proud as she carried home the trophy of a best actress in a new series in 2015 People’s Choice Award, donning a shimmering Vera Wang dress. It was another first for a desi girl, when she presented an award at the Screen Actor Guild Award, for best male actor sharing the stage with actor Pedro Pascal.

Desi girl: Priyanka’s tattoo ‘Daddy’s Lil Girl’ on her wrist, was the signature which confirmed her commitment as a true-blue family girl. She famously stressed her desire to have her “own little camp”, when she decided to promote her family members and cousins into Bollywood.
Global celebrity: After presenting an award at the Screen Actor Guild Award, Priyanka will soon be seen at the Academy awards to present an award. She is the second celebrity after famous Indian origin actor Parsis Khambatta, of Star Trek fame, to gain such a prominence at the Oscars night. She is in talks with the makers of Baywatch, and will hopefully be seen opposite Dawyne Johnson.
Producer with a difference: Priyanka Chopra turned producer recently by floating her production company Purple Pebble Pictures, where she plans to take a different route. Instead of venturing into big budget movies starring superstars, the production house will make regional movies to boost Marathi and Bhojpuri films.
Actress donning different hats: As one of the top Bollywood actresses, Priyanka will continue to surprise her fans. After her stunning portrayal as Maratha queen Kashibai in Bajirao Mastani, in 2015, she will soon be seen as a feisty cop in Prakash Jha’s Gangajal, this year.
Smart strategist: In the times to come, Priyanka’s trajectory in showbiz will be known for her immense talent coupled with the smart moves taken at the right time. Her international manager Anjula Acharia Bath (a partner at Trinity Ventrures and co founder of now defunct media company Desi Hits) has backed the actors’s sharp business acumen to get some of the best international business deals.
