Malayalam Editor and director Appu Bhattathiri has got married to his long-time lover Abha Varadaraj at the Thiruvananthapuram sub registrar’s office. Appu Bhattathiri is popularly known for his editing skills in movies like Veeram, Ottamuri Velicham, Aanandapuram Diaries and Rani: The Real Story. He debuted as a director with the movie Nizhal in 2021. It starred Kunchacko Boban and Nayanthara in the lead roles. The movie couldn’t perform well at the box office. Appu Bhattathiri has now uploaded a few pictures from his simple court marriage. He also penned a heartwarming caption for his wife. The post has gone viral now.
In the latest viral post, Appu Bhattathiri is seen standing in the office of the sub-registrar at Thiruvananthapuram. In the series of photos, the couple was seen waiting, signing, posing and leaving the office. Appu Bhattathiri wore a white lungi, while his better half wore a simple green saree with matching bangles. While posting the photos, Appu Bhattathiri recalled their meetings and walks which brought them closer. “We matched. We met. We talked. We walked. We met again. We talked again. We walked again. Then, one day, we decided to get married. Today, we got married. To more talks, walks and everything in between,” wrote Appu Bhattathiri.
A couple of months before marriage, Appu Bhattathiri introduced his partner to his fans via social media. He posted the photo in which he and his wife Abha Varadaraj were sitting on the stairs while looking far away. Appu Bhattathiri wore a dark blue shirt, while Abha donned a pink saree and complemented it with a green blouse. “Those who know, know. Those who don’t, this is she,” wrote Appu Bhattathiri, while presenting his first picture with his wife on social media.
Fans of the director wished him a happy married life and congratulated him on his marriage. Others inquired about his future projects in the film industry. His last directorial was Nizhal.
