Samarjit Lankesh and Sanya Iyer starrer Gowri is all set to hit the theatres in July. Presently the promotional activities of the film are in full swing. Recently, the makers of the film announced the release of a song from the movie in an event held at Hubballi, Karnataka.
The song is named Dhool Yebsava and is sung by Aniruddha Sastry and Ananya Bhat. The song has already recorded views of over 43 thousand on YouTube creating a massive buzz among the fans. The film is directed by Aneesh and Indrajit Lankesh.
Speaking at the release event of the song, director Indrajit Lankesh said, “This is the debut film of my son Samarjit Lankesh and Sanya Iyer. The shooting of the film took place in various locations including Bengaluru. All the actors gave their best for the film. I hope this will be a massive success."
The film also features several well-known actors like Priyanka Upendra, Rajeev Pillai, Manasi Sudhir, and Chandu Gowda among others. Speaking at the event, actor Samarjit Lankesh said, “We have worked hard for this film and the experience was great. The film is set to hit the theatres across the state in July. I request everyone to visit the theatres to watch the film." The music of the song is directed by Shivu Bergi. He also penned the lyrics of the song.
Apart from the film, the director also talked about social media and its negative impacts. Indrajit expressed his dissatisfaction towards the government and cybercrime authorities and requested them to take appropriate action against the criminals. He said, “Social Media is a wonderful medium but it is widely misused. Today’s youth are being ruined by social media. Recently, a girl who topped the SSLC examination was bullied. People even made derogatory comments about her appearance. This depicts the dire state of our society Immediate action needs to be taken against these people. I will also fight against it. I will take to the streets and stage protests."
