Deepika Padukone Teases Ranveer Singh In Hilarious Instagram Story About His Late Arrival

Bollywood’s beloved couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh became parents to a baby girl earlier in September. The new mom, busy fulfilling her duties towards her newborn baby, often takes to her Instagram account, sharing hilarious posts and relatable memes. On Monday, the Kalki 2898 AD actress re-posted a video highlighting how she waits for her husband.

The clip opens with a child running towards a glass door while holding a pair of binoculars. Upon reaching the door, the child carefully peers outside, as if waiting for someone. The caption on the video read, “Me when my husband tells me he’ll be home at 5:00, and now it’s 5:01.” Deepika shared the post on her Instagram Stories with a smiley face sticker and tagged her husband.

Deepika and Ranveer, who tied the knot in 2018, welcomed their first child, a daughter, on September 8. The couple shared this news with their millions of fans through a collaborative Instagram post. Weeks after the announcement, the new dad in town made his first appearance sans his wife at an event hosted in Antilia. In a now-viral video, Ranveer expressed his happiness in becoming a father and said, “Baap ban gaya re (I have become a father).”

Just days before welcoming their child into this world, the couple shared a bunch of pictures where Deepika was seen flaunting her bare baby bump, silencing those who questioned her pregnancy earlier. The duo looked much in love in the monochromatic pictures that they shared on September 2. The actress dropped the pictures without any profound caption and just with a few emojis. The couple’s excited fans couldn’t keep calm after watching the pictures, flooding the comment section of the post with their heartfelt reactions.

On the work front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in the period drama Kalki 2898 AD, co-starring Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan, among others. The new mom will be next seen in Rohit Shetty’s film Singham Again, scheduled to be released in theatres on November 1. The film also features Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh’s last film was Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, co-starring Alia Bhatt. He has been roped in for a multi-starrer film directed by Aditya Dhar.
