A report on Wednesday claimed that CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur, who allegedly slapped Kangana Ranaut, has been transferred from Chandigarh. It was reported that she was transferred and ‘reinstated’ in Bengaluru. The officer has been transferred a little less than a month after her incident with the actress-turned-BJP MP.
However, the CISF has issued a statement to give more clarity on the situation. Speaking with ANI, a spokesperson said, “CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur, who allegedly slapped BJP MP Kangana Ranaut, is still suspended and a departmental inquiry against her is still on.”

For the unversed, on June 6, Kangana was travelling to New Delhi when she was slapped by an on-duty female CISF constable at the Chandigarh Airport. The female CISF staff identified as Kulwinder Kaur and was allegedly unhappy with Kangana’s comment on Punjab ladies during the farmers’ agitation against the three farm laws, suggesting they participated in the protest for money. Sources say that the female constable will be suspended soon, and a case is likely to be filed against her.
Following the incident, Kangana released a video in which she addressed the incident. “I have been getting a lot of phone calls from the media and my well-wishers. I am safe, I am perfectly fine. What happened at the Chandigarh airport today was during the security check. When I left after the security check, the CISF personnel hit me on my face. She abused me. When I asked her why she did it, she told me that she supports farmers’ protests. I am safe but my concern is, how do we handle terror in Punjab?” she said.
Journalist Faye D’Souza penned a post condemning the slap incident involving Kangana and the CISF constable. Several Bollywood stars such as Alia Bhatt and Hrithik Roshan liked the post.
