BTS member Jungkook has made history with his solo debut single, SEVEN, which recently surpassed 1.7 billion streams on Spotify. Despite being busy with military service, the South Korean artist has become the fastest Asian soloist to achieve this milestone. Not only is SEVEN the quickest track by an Asian artist to reach this feat, but it also holds the title as the third fastest overall and the fastest debut song of 2023 to do so. Notably, Jungkook is the first and only Asian soloist to reach this impressive level. SEVEN currently leads a prestigious list of hits, including Jimin’s Like Crazy, Lisa’s Money, Jennie’s One Of The Girls, and Charlie Puth’s Left And Right, dominating the top five spots.
Jungkook’s Standing Next To You, V’s Love Me Again, Jennie’s Solo, Jack Harlow’s 3D and Lisa’s LaLisa have also claimed spots in the top 10. The list also includes artists such as Jisso, Jennie, Jin and PSY.
Jungkook made his solo debut with SEVEN featuring Latto, which dropped on July 14, shortly after BTS went on hiatus. The song quickly broke records, as it landed on the Hot 100 and Global 200 charts. Following this success, his second single, 3D, featuring Jack Harlow, also reached the top five on the Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart. Later, his solo album GOLDEN continued the trend by setting new records in its opening week.

Jungkook is busy performing his mandatory military and is expected to return in 2025, along with the other BTS members, after they complete their services. Recently, the group took a break from their duties to celebrate BTS’ 11th anniversary and the discharge of their eldest member, Jin.
Meanwhile, Jimin is making headlines after he recently released a new track titled Smeraldo Garden Marching Band featuring Loco. The artist is also gearing up to drop his second solo mini album, MUSE, scheduled to release on July 19 and the album will include seven new songs.
Other than BTS, the girl group, BLACKPINK is also taking time off to concentrate on their solo projects. Lisa just dropped her new song, Rockstar, while Jennie collaborated with Zico on Spot. Rose is gearing up to release her upcoming track soon and Jisoo is busy working on her zombie K-drama, Influenza.
