Anil Kapoor may not be talking to his elder brother Boney Kapoor properly, but he’s still on good terms with the latter’s son, actor Arjun Kapoor. How do we know this? Well, on Monday morning, Arjun took to his Instagram Stories to pen a congratulatory post for his uncle on the success of his latest production, Crew, which stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon and Tabu. And Anil’s heartwarming response made it clear that all is well at least between him and Boney’s kids. In just three days, Crew has grossed close to Rs 63 crore worldwide.
Sharing the lengthy post, Arjun wrote, “A flight worth taking… So proud of @rheakapoor for hitting it out of the park!!! Love that @ektarkapoor & rhea have formed a partnership that caters to a mainstream audience unapologetically.”
He then praised Crew director Rajesh Krishnan for handling a heist comedy with “subtle yet reaffirming assurity in performances and humour.” “Amazing job, sir,” he added.
Talking about the performances, the actor wrote, “@tabutiful just a genius actor who always knows exactly what to do even when she isn’t saying anything she’s saying it all… @kareenakapoorkhan aap toh front foot aake khel kar gaye ho on this one… Content and u both have killed it!!! @kritisanon to stand tall ‘literally’ and hold your own while looking smashing as well… kudos to u!!!”
Arjun went on to acknowledge the contributions of Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma, stating, “@diljitdosanjh aap aaye screen pe toh bahar aayi Presence and charm personified… @kapilsharma commendable for you to add your presence to a different and unique role like this.”
The actor concluded his post by giving a special mention to his uncle and producer, Anil Kapoor. While tagging Anil, Arjun wrote, “What a playa! The Producer and proud father… the journey continues with more films to make and stories to tell now.”
Anil reposted Arjun’s Instagram story on his handle and wrote, “Chachuuuu…”
Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor is apparently upset with Boney over the casting of No Entry sequel. The original film starred Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta, Bipasha Basu and Celina Jaitly. Boney, in a recent interview, revealed that Anil wanted to be a part of the sequel, but unfortunately, there was “no space”.
