Kareena Kapoor Khan brought down the curtains of Lakme Fashion Week 2017 with Anita Dongre’s magnum opus finale. The actress, who turned the perfect muse for the designer, credits husband Saif Ali Khan for his constant support towards her.
“I’m lucky I’ve a loving and a supporting husband. Because right now he’s looking after Taimur – so we share the responsibility,” she said while addressing the media post-finale.
“It’s like he is my Ka and I’m his Ki. What was there on the screen then - is now happening in real life. He’s very supportive, so when he’s working I’m at home and when I’m working he’s at home. And I think that’s the way every man and husband should be to their woman,” she added.
While explaining why she opted to grace the ramp just after 45 days of baby birth, she promptly said, “And when I was asked I was like why shouldn’t I walk? Normal people don’t walk kya? Then what’s the big deal. I think it’s a great opportunity and I’m doing exactly what I want and with the support from everyone - that’s what making it all the more great.”
The actress who looked drop-dead gorgeous in a white and gold ensemble said that she doesn’t follow any trends and only does what she wishes to. “I don’t follow anyone – any trends or anything. I think one thing which is the most important - is my heart. I do exactly as I feel and exactly as I want.”
She also credited designer Anita Dongre for being inspirational, not just to Kareena but to every woman out there.
