Gucci is the latest designer label to eschew the traditional fashion calendar by streamlining its catwalk shows.
The Italian house will show its menswear and womenswear collections together as of 2017, WWD reports.
"It will not necessarily be an easy path and will certainly present some challenges, but I believe it will give me the chance to move towards a different kind of approach to my story telling," Creative Director Alessandro Michele told the publication.
The fashion industry is currently experiencing something of a revolution with brands such as Michael Kors and Burberry recently announcing the introduction of ‘see-now-buy-now' collections. The biggest shake-up has come courtesy of Burberry, which will switch to two ‘seasonless' shows per year as of September 2016.
