A seemingly innocent photo op between Nicole Kidman, Salma Hayek and Katy Perry during the recent Paris Fashion Week took an unexpected turn. The incident occurred on September 30 at the Balenciaga show. A video circulating online captures the awkward encounter, showing Salma Hayek attempting to turn Nicole Kidman towards the cameras just as the photographer calls for “one more” shot. Instead of posing together, Nicole surprisingly pushes Salma’s hand away. After this brief exchange, the ‘Big Little Lies’ star leans in to give Katy a kiss, shares a few words with Salma, waves her goodbye and walks off.
According to Page Six, it remains unclear what exactly Nicole and Salma spoke, but after Nicole walked away, Hayek was heard saying, “Yes please. Advice.” In response, someone off camera added, “You don’t need it,” to which Salma quickly replied, “I do.”
The video was shared by a page X (formerly Twitter), and captioned, “Photographers taking pictures of Salma Hayek until Nicole Kidman stopped right in front of her and said, ‘Don’t touch me,’ that even left Katy Perry embarrassed.”

Despite the alleged tension between Salma Hayek and Nicole Kidman, the Frida star shared several pictures from Paris Fashion Week, which also included a smiling pose with Nicole. She also offered a behind the scenes look from the event. In the series, she also shared a fun video of Katy Perry, along with a short clip where Salma was seen chatting with Lindsay Lohan. Another post featured her alongside IT star Bill Skarsgard.
During Paris Fashion Week, the city rolled out the red carpet for a host of international celebrities. This event also marked Nicole Kidman’s first public appearance since the death of her mother, Janelle, last month. At that time, the actress was in attendance at the Venice Film Festival, promoting her film Babygirl. Upon receiving the news, the 57-year-old actress chose to leave the festival early and quickly flew back to Sydney, Australia, to be with her family.
Confirming the news on Instagram, Nicole wrote, “My sister and I along with our family want to thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we have felt this week. Every message we have received from those who loved and admired our Mother has meant more to us than we will ever be able to express. Thank you from our whole family for respecting our privacy as we take care of each other.”
For the Balenciaga show, both the Hollywood beauties, Salma Hayek and Nicole Kidman turned heads with their floor length black gown. Salma Hayek’s husband, Francois-Henri Pinault, a prominent French businessman, is the owner of several luxury brands, including Balenciaga.
