A CISF constable, who had shot herself at Bhopal airport after being allegedly scolded by her senior for reporting late on duty, has been shifted to AIIMS in New Delhi as her condition has deteriorated.
Constable Ritu Kumari (25) was shifted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) by an air ambulance on Sunday evening after her condition deteriorated, a senior police official said.
Ritu had allegedly shot herself in the stomach with her service revolver on August 5 after she was scolded by Deputy Commandant of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for reporting late on duty, he said.
She was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city since then, the official said.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan yesterday visited Ritu at the private hospital here to inquire about her condition, an official at the CM's office said.
Chouhan also assured her parents that the state government would extend all possible help for providing better treatment to her, the CM office added.
