A 55-year-old lawyer and his daughter-in-law were killed by some unidentified persons in Rani ki Sarai area here, police said on Friday. Ashok Kumar Yadav and his daughter-in-law Lakshmi (25) were sleeping on Thursday night, when some persons attacked them with sharp-edged weapons due to which they died on the spot, they said.

Other family members were not in the house at the time of the incident as they had gone to attend a function. Police is probing the matter and trying to ascertain the motive behind the killings.
