UK teacher held for forging documents for job
Head Master of British international school Trio World, Paul Francis Meekins, has already been suspended.

Bangalore: A British national, who heads an international school in Bangalore, was arrested tonight for allegedly forging documents to get the job. Head Master of British international school Trio World, Paul Francis Meekins, was apprehended on late Wednesday night, Sahakarnagar Sub-Inspector Jagadish said in Bangalore.

Meekins has been booked under various IPC sections including 468 (Forgery for purpose of cheating) and 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), he said, adding that the accused would be produced before the Judicial Magistrate on Thursday.

The Briton was earlier arrested about a week ago on charges of inappropriate conversations with a seventh standard student but was later released on bail, Jagadish said.

Parents of the boy had complained that the accused called the boy to his chamber and talked about sex and also chatted with him on this subject on a social networking site, he said.

The private school has already suspended 37-year-old Meekins, Jagadish said.

The Trio World School is a co-education private international school, which follows British curriculum, and a favourite among expats.

Meekins, who is from England, joined Trio as headmaster in 2010. Before graduating in teaching from Cambridge University, he trained and practised as a lawyer and then changed his career to education, police said.
