Two encounters between terrorists and security forces are underway in Jammu and Kashmir. Four Army personnel have been killed in Hafrada encounter in Handwara where firing is still on.
Another encounter between terrorists and security forces is also underway in the Krusan area of the state. One terrorist has been killed and an AK-47 has been recovered from him.
Earlier on Sunday, two terrorists of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfit were killed in an encounter in Pulwama district of Kashmir. The encounter had erupted after a joint team of police and army cordoned off Hari village in Tral in Pulwama and started a search operation following an intelligence input.
JeM has been responsible for several major attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi, including the one on Parliament on December 13, 2001.
