New Delhi: Two 'popular' twitter handles among the media people, politicians, bureaucrats and the others interested in behind the scene affairs and activities of the national capital have suddenly gone silent. Lutyen's Insider and Lutyen's Masala, had emerged on the national virtual media scene in the Winter of 2014. Both are known for trolling, ridiculing and gossiping. By doing so they created several enemies among the powerful media and political circles in New Delhi.
A female journalist Swati Chaturvedi who has been trolled by Lutyen's Insider has complained to Delhi police seeking criminal action against the handle. She claims that the handle is stalking her and spreading canards about her and her alleged stalking of the Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi.
The Delhi Police has registered a case and started investigation into the matter. Rattled by the sudden turn of events, Lutyen's Insider has suddenly closed its account.
Another handle Lutyen's Masala has also deleted a lot of its tweets post December 2014. The latest one says that the handler is going for his/her third surgery.
Lutyen's Spice, the third popular twitter handle which gives the masala news from Lutyen's Delhi is still active and when compared to the above two, it is considered more polished and milder.
Some media personalities and politicians who were at the receiving end of these mysterious, anonymous twitter handles are secretly celebrating the turn of events.
