TIRUPATI: Executive Officer, TTD, L V Subramanyam clarified that there is no danger to ancient temple of Lord Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy located at Srinivasa Mangapuram.The official who had came to Srikalahasti to attend the Bhakta Kannappa dwajarohanam celebrations as part of annual Brahmotsavams of Srikalahastheeswara, which commenced from Wednesday, explained that there was no harm to the temple and all the regular rituals including offering of arati was being performed inside the temple without any interruption. Saying that TTD had not received any directions from Archaeology Survey of India (ASI) yet, for stopping rituals like offering camphor, etc, the EO wondered how can a Hindu temple function without offering arati and doing other regular rituals. “Keeping in mind the temple’s history and condition we have invited the archaeology department to visit the temple and suggest if anything is to be done to safeguard the temple. We also will discuss about arrangements needed for setting up of the TTD museum,” he explained.He informed that archaeology department officials will come to Tirupati on February 21 and 22 and discuss arrangements of creating a world class TTD museum.
