New Delhi: Just days after twin blasts ripped the coaches of Samjhauta Express, the authorities have sprung into action.

Amid widespread hue and cry over the security lapse on the part of the Indian Railways, an official on Wednesday said that the tickets for Attari and Lahore on Samjhauta Express would now on be available fifteen days in advance.

Earlier, the tickets were issued only on the day of the travel, but the practice has been done away with now.

"All the four counters at the Old Delhi Railway Station can now issue reserved travelling tickets for the Samjhauta Express and the Attari Special Train between Delhi and Attari 15 days in advance after showing the required documents," PTI quoted CPRO (Northen Railway), Rajiv Saxena, as saying.

"This change has been done to avoid any rush on the day of travelling and to have ample time for the officials to check the ticket requirements," he added.
