Tension prevailed in Chamrawala village in Muzaffarnagar district where violence erupted four days back after a Dalit youth was shot at for allegedly teasing a girl from another community.
Additional police force has been deployed in the village to avoid any further incident of violence, police said. The trouble began on August 12 when a Dalit youth was allegedly shot at by the members of a community for teasing a girl, Rajkamal, SP (city) said.
Later, agitated Dalits held protest and pelted stones on a school bus and policemen, injuring two persons. "Security has been tightened in the area and policemen have been deployed," the SP said, adding four persons had been arrested for firing at the boy.
