Stir to throw movement of trains off track

BHUBANESWAR: The proposed rail roko agitation by Yuva Bikash Parishad of Rayagada is all set to paralyse train services in Rayagada-Koraputregion on October 3. Apprehending disturbance,the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has cancelled three trains whilediverting four more on the day. Sources said 58541 Rayagada-Koraput,58542 Koraput- Rayagada and 58528 Visakhapatnam- Raipurpassenger trains have been cancelled. Similarly, Dhanbad-AllepeyExpress, scheduled to leave Dhanbad on Sunday, will be diverted viaSambalpur, Angul, Talcher Road, Naraj Marthapur, Bhubaneswar,Palasa, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and Duvvada. The Hatia-YesvantpurExpress, leaving Hatia on Sunday, will be diverted via the sameroute. The Tirupati-Bilaspur Express will operate through Vizianagaram,Palasa, Bhubaneswar, Naraj Marthapur, Talcher Road, Angul, Sambalpur,Titilagarh and Raipur while Bhubaneswar- Jagadalpur-HirakhandExpress will take Vizianagaram, Kothavalasa, Araku and Jagadalpurroute. The ECoR announcement said eight more trains will be controlledand regulated. The Sambalpur-Rayagada Express on October3 will be short-terminated at Titilagarh and operate between Titilagarhand Sambalpur. Similarly, Durg-Visakhapatnam Passenger, Visakhapatnam-Durg Passenger, Vijayawada-Rayagada Passenger, Howrah-Koraput Express, Raipur- Visakhapatnam Passenger, Visakhapatnam- Rayagada Passenger andSambalpur-Nanded Express will be regulated and controlled at differentpoints due to the agitation.
