Bangalore: The cricket skills development camp, which was slated to begin on Sunday for Sri-Lanka bound players, was postponed by a day.
The Indian squad was scheduled to assemble on Saturday but BCCI sources said the players would arrive by Sunday evening as the camp would resume one day late. No reasons were given for the postponement.
Indian Coach Greg Chappell has returned from holiday and will join the players at the camp.
The team will undergo training in match-like situations at the camp to be held in two sessions everyday before they depart for Colombo on the evening of August 10.
The Indian team will play a triangular cricket series in Sri Lanka, involving South Africa as the third team, from August 14 to 29.
The team had earlier trained in the Pegasus Institute of Excellenve and an Army camp where they underwent military drills, rock climbing, and Tai Chi sessions.
