Noida: The wife and brother of dentist Rajesh Talwar, accused of killing his daughter Arushi, on Sunday visited him at the Dasna jail where he has been lodged since his arrest on Friday.
After visiting his brother along with his sister-in-law Nupur, Dinesh Talwar said the family believed Rajesh to be 100 per cent innocent.
"I have faith that the truth will prevail," he told reporters.
Talwar's family continues to insist on Rajesh’s innocence.
“Rajesh is hundred per cent innocent and Nupur and Rajesh Talwar were inside the house sleeping at the time of murder,” says Rajesh’s brother.
“We will take all legal action. Dr Talwar is an asthma patient and we hope he will be shifted to the hospital and for that we have moved in an application. The hearing will be held tomorrow,” says advocate, Mahendra Pratap.
On Saturday, Nupur had come out in strong defence of her husband claiming his innocence in the murder of their daughter and domestic help.
Rajesh's lawyers have filed bail applications in a local court for his release, saying there was no evidence to link him with the crime and that he suffered from severe asthma.
Arushi’s father Rajesh Talwar could also go through a narco-analysis on Sunday.
Lawyers of dentist Rajesh Talwar, accused of killing his teenaged daughter Arushi and family help, on Saturday filed bail applications in a local court, claiming he was totally innocent and that he suffered from asthma.
However, his bail plea is yet to be heard and he may also go through a narco-analysis later in the day on Sunday.
