PUC to begin from Class 9 from next year

BANGALORE: The state government would initiate the process of making eighth standard part of higher primary school before the commencement of the next academic year, Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri told the Legislative Council here on Friday.“Consequently, standards 9 and 10 would become a part of present PUC,” Kageri said, while replying to a question.Kageri added that the state government would constitute two committees consisting of education experts to work out the modalities of the proposed merger.
