Mumbai businessman alleges in police complaint that Pravin took money for two buses, supplied one.

Mumbai: Pravin Mahajan, who is in police custody for shooting at his elder brother and BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, has been booked for cheating a Mumbai businessman of Rs 8.5 lakh.

Pravin allegedly signed a contract with Uday Shankar Mishra to supply two luxury buses for Rs 17 lakh, but gave him only one vehicle.

Mishra, in a police complaint, has alleged that Pravin flaunted his connections and threatened him whenever he asked him to either supply the second bus or return the money.

After Praveen’s arrest, Mishra decided to file a police complaint against him. “I have lodged a complaint at Dindoshi police station (in north Mumbai) and the case has been transferred to Naupada police of Thane, since I paid money to Pravin at his residence in Naupada," Mishra said on Tuesday.

Pravin allegedly sold the second bus to another person despite signing papers and accepting payment from Mishra, he alleged.
