Chennnai: Pongal in is not just a festival of harvest down south in Tamil Nadu, it is a also a time to watch films.
At least five new films are hitting theatres this year and of course the most awaited among the lot is Vikram's Bheema.
The actor's pairing with Trisha and his new 'hulk' look have raised the anticipation among fans.
"I have done a lot of heroic roles-but this is the first time I'm doing a role where the protagonist is so physically strong-but-he's like a silent macho types,” says actor, Vikram.
Meanwhile Madhavan's Pongal release is a breezy love story called Vazhthukkal and the actor says it's one film that cannot skip your mind this Pongal.
"The title of the film itself means 'Good wishes'-and Pongal is a time when people use that word day in and day out-so you like it or not you've got to say my film's name during this season. Also it's a film about celebration of love and relationship,” says actor, Madhavan.
The Little superstar Silaambarasan's Kaalai, Cheran's Pirivom Sandippom and Bharat's Pazhaani are three other films hitting theatres this Pongal.
