New Delhi: Aamir Khan's film Taare Zameen Par, which has won critical acclaim, on Monday moved Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who said it was a lesson for India's educational system.
"The film has lessons for our educational system," Singh said after watching the movie at a special screening at his official residence here.
Singh and his family members watched the film in which Khan also acts along with child artist Darsheel Safary, who plays the role of a dyslexic student - Ishaan Awasthy.
Singh was "deeply moved" by the film, a PMO spokesperson said.
The film, which also stars Tisca Chopra as the mother of Darsheel and Sachet Engineer as the father, is the story of a child who suffers greatly in school until a teacher played by Aamir identifies him as a dyslexic.
Dyslexia is a learning disability, which manifests primarily as a difficulty in learning the written language.
