New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday reiterated that India had not received any information officially from Pakistan on the investigations into the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, contradicting National Security Adviser (NSA) M K Narayanan's claim.
The NSA had in a television interview (Devil's Advocate on CNN-IBN. Read interview) said Pakistan had ''reverted'' on the Mumbai attacks dossier and asked some questions to which answers were being provided.
The External Affairs Minister, when asked to comment on Narayanan's claim, said this could be his (Narayanan's) (personal) view.
"He (Narayanan) has said (it) in his own way. The fact of the matter is that after they (Pakistan) received material from us. But we have not received any official communication from them,'' Mukherjee told reporters.
Meanwhile, Islamabad on Tuesday called Pakistan High Commissioner in
New Delhi, Shahid Malik, for consultations, giving rise to speculation that some information may be officially conveyed to India shortly.
However, a Pakistan High Commission official said this was a routine exercise of calling the High Commissioner for consultations and nothing much should be read into it.
Following the diplomatic row between India and Pakistan, Pakistan's Deputy High Commissioner Afrasiab was called back to Islamabad last month.
