HYDERABAD: Osmania University has been ranked sixth among India's best universities as per a survey conducted by the India Today-Nielsen for 2012. The varsity was ranked seventh last year.A total of 160 universities have been ranked based on perpetual and factual scores on parameters like reputation, quality of academic input, faculty, research publications, etc.University vice-chancellor Prof S Satynarayana said that the ranking will help get more funds from various funding agencies including the University Grants Commission.
