Everyone has the right to education in our democratic country but we see how easily these tiny tots are deprived of this basic right. HyperCITY has marked the dawn of education in collaboration with Shiksha and Crossword. The hypermarket kick-started on May 23 a month long campaign --- ‘Book o Meter’ to encourage education among the unprivileged children who are generally deprived of their right to education. The initiative will see HyperCITY collect old textbooks and storybooks from their patrons. These donated books shall later be handed over to the Shiksha foundation to be distributed among the unprivileged children. The campaign not only works in the benefit of the children but also works of the patrons of HyperCITY. Also, to appreciate the gesture of lending help to these kids, HyperCITY will give out discount vouchers to the donors. The number of discount vouchers one gets is in direct relation to the number of books donated. Even crossword will give away discount vouchers worth 10 per cent to the book donors. The month long initiative will conclude on June 20.
