Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has instructed all ministers and officials of his government not to entertain any requests for favours from his relatives or acquaintances.

In an order issued by the General Administration Department, Azad has instructed all ministers, administrative secretaries and heads of departments that requests for favours from his relatives should not be entertained.

He stated that any such requests should be immediately brought to his notice.

"The ministers and the government officers are expected to strictly comply with the directive and discharge their duties conscientiously and in accordance with the law," Azad said.

The Chief Minister has also issued a directive that no party legislator should visit the Civil Secretariat before 1500 hours.

"Since unnecessary crowding in the Secretariat hampers official work, MLAs should stay away from its premises and not interfere in transfers or any other issues," he said.

"Instead, they should handle party affairs and devote time to find a solution to the problems of the people," he added.
