KOCHI: If all goes well, a new KSRTC Station Master’s Office will be opened at the Vyttila Mobility Hub. The authorities concerned are optimistic that the facility would be inaugurated by October 20. The 470-sq ft space provided for the KSRTC by the Mobility Hub will have separate waiting sheds for women and men. Now a KSRTC Inspector and two station masters have been posted at the hub to assist those who travel by long-distance KSRTC buses. Mobility Hub contractor Sunil Kumar said that the work would be completed by October 17. “The office would operate from 8 am to 8 pm initially and it might be converted into a round-the-clock facility,” said P S Salil, KSRTC Station Master, Vyttila Mobility hub. “An enquiry counter and a reservation counter would also be set up at the new office,” he said. After 8 pm, the KSRTC vehicles will be directed to the Ernakulam KSRTC bus stand. The authorities concerned are also planning to construct a 100-sq ft office for the Regional Transport Officer next to the proposed KSRTC Station Master’s Office.
