Jamshedpur, Aug 8 (PTI) Accusing Jharkhand Vikas Morcha-Prajatantrik (JVM) chief Babulal Marandi for the turmoil within the party, JVM leader and former state minister Dulal Bhuiyan on Friday announced his plans of joining the BJP along with his supporters.
Bhuiyan, who was the land reform, revenue and co-operative minister in the Sibu Soren as well as Madhu Koda-headed coalition governments, told reporters that many party workers including six MLAs would join BJP on Sunday.
Bhuiyan also held JVM principal general secretary Pradip Yadav responsible for the debacle in the recent Lok Sabha elections as well as the prevailing turmoil within the party.
Referring to JVM's decision of abstaining from the Rajya Sabha elections in 2011 in the state, Bhuiyan said it happened due to Yadav and was tantamount to promoting horse trading.
Alleging that the JVM had diverted from its policies and ideology, Bhuiyan said Marandi's glow slow move prompted him to switch to BJP. PTI BS
