Q. Modi did not had any relevant data on his women empowerment schemes. Is this just another political stunt, taking an alternative route of speaking at a national level. Asked by: Gautam

A. Modi from now on is totally focussed on hardselling himself as the champion of development. In course of that, there will always be a few uncomfortable questions that he will have to face up to. Women empowerment schemes is just one of them

Q. Has Modi's speech was better than Rahul's..had he overtook Rahul this time also? Asked by: Ravesh

A. There is no doubting the fact that Modi is an orator par excellence. Rahul G doesn't come anywhere near him as far as oratory is concerned. Yes, he has certainly gone beyond Rahul.

Q. What new Modi had told in his speech..all he told was just the fact he gave and the same old stuff about women's to be given more power and respect..whats new in this? Asked by: Rajlab

A. Its not whether its new or old, what it means is that he is selling a dream to the rest of the country. He is basically saying, if he can do all this in Gujarat, then he can replicate this in rest of India as well.

Q. These days Modi is addressing a lot in Delhi..had he started his campaigning for 2014 already.. Asked by: Raka

A. Yes, he has started campaigning for the next elections. He is positioning himself as the ultimate person for governance and development.

Q. how will you rate Modi's speech at FICCI & Rahul Baba' speech at CII in between 1 to 10. Asked by: rk

A. Modi: 8 on 10, Rahul, 6 on ten.

Q. Do you think Narendra Modi should turn 2014 into a Presidential form of election? He should create a insecure environment where he should tell the voters 'elect me' else its going to be doom for the country. Asked by: Prasad KS

A. Looks like it. The key question is that Modi believes that there is a wave in his favour across the country. It will be interesting to see whether this wave exists or not.

Q. Sir, do you think BJP should let Modi campaign Karnataka? Can he get BJP t0 power in 2014..? Asked by: Yagyesh

A. Its not as if whether BJP will let Modi campaign or not in Karnataka, its more to do with Modi's own wish of not campaigning there. Just like he didn't campaign in UP last year. He doesn't like to go to places where the BJP is in a tricky position.

Q. Why Media are so hostile towards Modi? Why Opposition rakes up 2002 Issue? Most of people including media says that Modi gives only Gujarat examples,it is because he is CM of Gujarat,You can scale up the Model all over India because basic aspirations are same,Today he gave examples of women found everywhere in India ie Tribals, 7thpass,widow,you do not need Gujarati entrepreneur spirit to scale up same model all over India. So give Man his due instead of nit picking. Why it is so difficult to Replicate success of Jassoben Pizza and Amul Diary or Lijat Papad or even SEWA? Asked by: Sonali Khatri

A. Its difficult Sonali because anyone who looks at India as a flat country, doesn't understand India. Gujarat is not and cannot be a microcosm of a new India. Yes, people have aspirations, people have ambitions, But to fulfill all those ambitions, corporatisation and entrepreneurship frankly isn't the only solution. India is still largely underdeveloped in many places.

Q. Jassoben Pizza,i googled and to my amazement this is so true and live example unlike Kalavati(a fake example). Can Modi reach out to larger section of People,Can he Emulate Personality or aura of Indira Gandhi, and turn this battle into Presidential election rather than BJP v/s Cong? Asked by: Vani

A. That's certainly the attempt from his side. Calculation is that he will be pitched into a battle with Rahul Gandhi, who he will be able to wallop in a straight fight. Modi is the master of spin doctoring, he has a far greater experience in politics and governance than Rahul Gandhi.

Q. Do you think, with his decade long good governance experience in Gujarat, can change the fate of this more than one billion population? But, after looking at his performance over the years, I personally feel that India badly need a PM like Modi. Asked by: Deb

A. The question you should also pose is whether whats possible for Gujarat, is also possible for the rest of the country. Aren't the problems different, Look at how a Shivraj Singh Chauhan manages affairs in his state or a Raman Singh in Chattisgarh.

Q. Dear Bhupender, Whats your take on Rahul Gandhi and will be able to counter Modi in 2014? Asked by: Srinivasan S

A. Going to be a Rahul vs Modi battle, yes no doubt about that. Who counters whom, the answer will be clearer in a few months time.

Q. Will Modi's speech at FICCI better his chances to project him as PM candidate? Asked by: Shyam Vadalker

A. Honestly, its not as if he has said anything new here at FICCI. Hopefully he will say something more at our event which starts in an hour. But all this is an attempt being made to project him as the man the country awaits.

What's your reaction?
