Missing Delhi Girl Found Murdered in Madhya Pradesh

New Delhi: A woman from Delhi was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the forest area of Hoshangabad in Madhya Pradesh on Friday morning.

The victim has been identified as Leena Sharma (38) a former employee of American Embassy School in Delhi. Her partially decomposed body was found from the Kamati jungles in Dudadeh village (her maternal village) in Sohagpur area.

Police sources said she went missing two weeks ago when she arrived in Hoshangabad to settle a property dispute with her uncle. Preliminary inquiry revealed that she was murdered and her body was dumped in the forest area.

Investigators feel she (Leena) could have been murdered by her maternal uncle who is also a local congress leader.

There are allegations that her uncle encroached upon Leena’s ancestral land and reportedly used to threaten her with dire consequences.

No arrests have been made so fare but it is likely that her uncle will be questioned by the local police.
