HYDERABAD: A farmer from Uttar Pradesh, who was involved in an attempt to murder case in the city and evading arrest for the past five years was nabbed on Wednesday. A country-made weapon and 18 live rounds of ammunition were recovered from him.The accused, 48-year-old Kamalpal Singh is a farmer from Jayanthipur village in UP and earlier lived in the city along with his family for sometime. Task Force deputy commissioner of police Ch Ramchander said Kamalpal Singh had fired at one Syed Mahaboob with a country-made weapon in June 2006 at Seven Tombs, Golconda causing an injury. “The accused bore grudge against Mahaboob who allegedly had an illicit relationship with the former’s wife and eloped with her,’’ the DCP said. Soon after the attempt on Mahaboob’s life, Kamalpal Singh fled to UP and recently came back.
