New Delhi: Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) team will quiz Pramod Muthalik, head of Sri Ram Sene who was arrested for the recent pub attack in Mangalore, in connection with the Malegaon blast case, a senior police official said on Thursday.
The Anti-Terrorism Squad will be sending a team to Mangalore to question Muthalik in connection with the September 29, 2008 Malegaon blast, Additional Director General of Police KP Raghuvanshi told PTI.
ATS wants to probe Muthalik’s alleged links with Colonel Prasad Purohit, the main accused in the Malegaon blasts case.
Muthalik, head of the right wing group accused of Saturday's attack on the pub in which girls were allegedly molested, was arrested by the Mangalore police on Thursday.
The ATS has filed its chargesheet against 11 persons, including a self-styled religious leader and a serving army officer, for their alleged involvement in the Malegaon blast in which six persons were killed.
The ATS had earlier visited Karnataka looking for a suspect named Praveen Muthalik supposedly a relative of Pramod Muthalik, the later has denied any link with Abhinav Bharat.
