Maharashtra: Motorcycle Catches Fire at Petrol Pump Just When Rider Uses Mobile Phone | WATCH

In a bizarre incident, a motorcycle suddenly caught fire while being refuelled at a pump on the Ahmednagar highway. A video of the incident has gone viral, in which looks as if the two-wheeler caught fire when its rider received a text on his mobile phone but it is not yet confirmed if this was the cause of the combustion.

Both the rider and the employee were unhurt in the incident due to the promptness of the latter, who quickly used a fire extinguisher to subdue the flames.

According to reports, the rider had stopped at the pump to refuel his bike for Rs 300, when he suddenly received an alert and pulled the phone out of his pocket to check. As soon as he brought out his cellphone, the top fuel nozzle supplying the vehicle caught fire.

All fuel stations have a note of caution for visitors not to use mobile phone or smoke cigarettes in its premises. Either of these activities can cause combustion and lead to a fire.
