Maharashtra Minister sparks controversy, says foreign hand behind church attack
Three men were caught on CCTV while hurling stones into the compound of the St George Catholic Church.

Mumbai: Maharashtra Revenue Minister Eknath Khadse sparked off a controversy by saying that there could be a foreign hand behind the Church attack.

The Opposition also created an uproar in the state Assembly over the issue with the National Congress Party walking out of the Assembly over the issue.

On Sunday, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said promised action and said that the three attackers have been identified and will be arrested soon. But Navi Mumbai Police chief KL Prasad said the CCTV footage is being analised and refused to comment on probable arrests.

Three men on a bike attacked a church in Navi Mumbai. They were caught on CCTV while hurling stones into the compound of the St George Catholic Church.

The assailants cracked the glass case of St George's statue.

The church was built in 2007 and can accommodate over 800 people for prayer.
