Kolkata: A severe case of ragging has been reported from Kolkata. Two first year students from Maritime Institute in Taratala have alleged that they were brutally ragged after which they have decided to quit college.
The victims allege they were subjected to severe physical and mental torture by seniors since August 7. The victims say repeated complaints to college authorities fell on deaf ears.
The parents of the victims lodged complaint before the local Taratala Police Station. College authorities have now reportedly constituted a four-member committee to probe the incident.
