Report says there were 11 policemen present who tried best to control the stampede.
New Delhi: The Kerala police on Tuesday submitted its report on what sparked the Sabarimala stampede.
According to the investigating officer IGP B Sandhya, an autorickshaw parked on top of the hill toppled, triggering the stampede.
There were 11 policemen on the spot, and the report says the police did their best to control the stampede.
The High Court had on Monday pulled up the government for the tragedy and asked the police, forest and the Travancore Devaswom Board to furnish reports on the worst pilgrim tragedy in the history of the hill shrine that left 102 people dead on Friday.
