In a tragic incident, a Malayali lorry driver named Elias (41) was fatally stabbed in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. He succumbed to the chest stab wound inflicted in an apparent attack by a highway robbery gang. Elias, who belonged to Kerala’s Ernakulam, worked as a driver for Namakkal Transport Company in Chennai, transporting electronic goods from Chennai to Bengaluru.
The attack reportedly took place on the Krishnagiri highway near Saravana Bhavan Hotel during his return journey. The assailant fled the scene following the attack.
Tamil Nadu police have initiated an investigation and registered a case. The body has been moved to Krishnagiri Medical College Hospital for further procedures.
