The strike ended following assurance from govt of announcing fare revision on Jan 12.
Thiruvananthapuram: The two-day-old strike by autorickshaw and taxi drivers in Kerala was called off late on Thursday following an assurance from the government that fare revision would be announced by January 12 next.
Strike was withdrawn after talks held by representatives of Driver's Union and State Transport Minister Jose Thettayil.
Justice Ramahandran committee looking into the issue had been asked to submit an interim report to the government soon, Thettayil said.
Kerala transport workers were on an indefinite strike, demanding for fare revision in view of the recent increase in fuel prices.
