BANGALORE: ISKCON held Sri Jagannath Rath Yatra in the city on Saturday. Hundreds of devotees ranging from toddlers to elders were seen chanting ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’ and dancing during the event.Speaking on the occasion, astrologer S K Jain said, “The Rath Yatra festival was first introduced by ISKCON founder Acharya Bhakthivedanta Swami Prabhupada in the US in late 60s. Since then, the festival has been emulated across the globe for the benefit of mankind.” He also added that the Rath Yatra festival was one of the major festivals that has been celebrated by temples in hundreds of cities across the world.
