New Delhi: If an Android Police report is to be believed, HTC is working on the next-gen Nexus tablet. Codenamed the HTC Volantis (or Flounder), the tablet will measure 8.9 inches diagonally, and will come with 2GB of RAM and front-facing stereo speakers. The device is expected to come powered by Nvidia's Tegra K1.
The rumoured device is likely to come in two variants - 16GB and 32GB. According to the report, the next-gen nexus tablet will have an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 3 megapixel front camera.
Android Police has a proven track record when it come to leaks, therefore the rumoured specs do carry some weight. Android Police's report suggests that the tablet will come with a price tag of $399 for 16GB and $499 for 32GB.
The rumoured tablet is expected to be released alongside the next version of Google's mobile OS in the fourth quarter. It is unlikely that Google will announce the same at its Google I/O conference next week.
