Chennai: Chennai Super Kings moved up one place to the second position of the Indian Premier League (IPL) points table, toppling Kings XI Punjab on Saturday night.
By virtue of their 18-run victory over Kings XI at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Super Kings occupy the second spot with 12 points from nine matches.
Kings XI, which registered third loss of the tournament, has dropped to the third place with 10 points from eight matches.
Rajasthan Royals continue to lead the table with 12 points from eight matches, while Bangalore Royal Challengers are languishing at the bottom with four points from as many outings.
