New Delhi: The Indian hockey team will get a reward of Rs 25 lakh from Bharat Hotels Limited if they win the Champions Challenge tournament tournament, it was announced on Sunday.
Jyotsna Suri, Chairperson and Managing Director Bharat Hotels Limited (Hotel Lalit) announced the prize money through Hockey India.
India have not lost a single match en route to the final, where they are slated to play against Belgium later on Sunday in Johannesburg.
Due to a miscommunication, Hockey India earlier announced that the team will get the money for reaching the final.
