A place is best explored when the tourist guide enlightens you about the origin, history and culture of the place. Similarly, there is a village in West Bengal called Buxa which is situated in the dooars in north Bengal and it is the critical corridor with Assam and Bhutan. It is the wettest place in West Bengal, receiving the highest amount of rainfall. It is located within the Buxa Tiger Reserve. Apart from being the gateway to the hill stations of North Bengal and Bhutan, Buxa village holds many secrets. The travel guide Jamed Bhutiad leaves no chance for the tourist to leave the place unaware of the same. He entertains tourists as well as guides them.

As James Bhutiad passes through the ridge of the mountain, he tends to talk all the way to keep the tourists entertained. The long silence route oftentimes becomes daunting for many. He provides the history of the area and various unknown information to the tourists. He has been working as a tourist guide since 2019. Apart from the knowledge of the area, he also holds the skill of producing melodious sounds from a leaf. He takes the big leaves of the tree and wraps them to make a flute. He plays the tunes of various songs from Bollywood movies. James learned this skill from his father. He is the fourth-generation travel guide from his family.

James Bhutiad said, “I listened to the whistle of the tourist group I went with. Everyone rejoices on the mountain road. You never know what the long route entails.”

From Santalabari to zero point, one has to walk from the villages of Buxa hills. It includes Buxa Fort, Tashigaon, Raimatang Depot, and Lepchakha. The distance of one is 12 km, less than the distance of other points. James started playing the flute to make this road easier. He believes that due to the sound of his flute, the shape of Buxa Hill becomes more mellow.
