A scuffle broke out between Bihar and Uttar Pradesh Police personnel on late Thursday night after the officials belonging to Bihar’s Gopalganj Police Station reached an alcohol shop in Kushinagar under UP’s Tamkuhiraj Police Station and started forcibly taking a young man with them. The video of the incident is going viral on social media.

The clash took place after Bihar Police officials, allegedly in casual clothes, arrived at an alcohol shop in Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar late night and started harassing the customers. Reportedly, the vehicle in which the Bihar Police arrived had no number plate.

On receiving information about the incident, the Tamkuhiraj Station officials reached the spot and tried to stop the Bihar Police, which led to an argument between them that later turned into a minor altercation.

As per the visuals accessed, the UP Police officials were heard shouting and asking the Bihar Police officials about the number plate of their vehicle when the clash intensified.

Following the altercation, the Bihar Police left the spot. However, no official statement from the state police has been released yet.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Police has raised objections to Bihar Police entering the border in casual clothes without informing.
