Mumbai: Meherbaan means grateful and this is the song the country's first female Indian Idol will be singing for her first music video. Sourabhee Debbarman is grateful to all her family, friends and fans for making her an overnight celebrity.
“I already feel like a celebrity. I just have to say I want water and all the spot boys go running to get it for me. I get to wear all these brand new clothes and put fancy make up. It is really great, I feel like an actress already shooting my film,” says an excited Sourabhee.
But life as a celebrity hasn't been a cake walk for this 22-year-old girl from Tripura.
“I haven't slept in days. I didn’t sleep even before the grand finale, we were busy rehearsing but after the grand finale. I haven't got to sleep a wink. I'm really tired,” adds the Indian Idol winner.
Sourabhee's video will feature the singer jamming with her band and recount her journey from Tripura to her dream win at the reality show.
“My song Meherabaan is about being positive. I am thanking God and thanking all the people who have helped me reach where I am today. I thank God for this beautiful journey of life,” Sourabhee says.
As Sourabhee starts on a new musical journey, you can bet that there will be a lot of fans praying that this Indian Shakira makes it to the top of the charts.
