Hyderabad: A school in Hyderabad has reportedly rusticated a 6-year-old student because his father Mohammad Azam had filed several RTI applications.

Azam had filed several RTI queries questioning the qualification of teachers, facilities at the school and safety of the school building. Seeking financial help, he had also filed an application to consider him as being under the economically weaker section.

His son was reportedly given a termination certificate on June 2. Azam had filed an RTI query after his repeated mails to the Director of Education went unheard.

However, the school management has claimed that Azam is simply blackmailing them to get free education for his child. "He has been harassing our female staffers, the school authorities claim.
